Chacah Building

Light and bright, with windows to delight.  Enter the walkway to the main entrance, with a water feature receiving you upon arrival.  Casa Chaca features floor to ceiling windows from the main entrance, with a green wall adding extra privacy and creating a living room integrated with nature.  The dining and kitchen areas open to the outdoor covered entertainment space and pool, with wall-to-wall glass sliders directly connecting you to the exterior living, dining and kitchen, plus half bath off the pool.  The ideal space to host gatherings.

The stairway to the second story is illuminated with dual height windows, with the privacy of natural wood beams creating a playful façade, and views from the stairway to the water feature below.  A planter box divides the stairway and an ideal place for a green bamboo wall, bringing the nature directly into your home and adding dimension to the voluminous space.  At the top of the stairways is a bonus den room, and home to the three bedrooms all with on-suite baths.  Immediately to the left is the largest of the three bedrooms, with its own on-suite living room and walk-in closet, and walk-out terrace.  On the opposite side of the den, exit to an open stairway overlooking the pool, arriving to the second and third bedrooms.

The optional guest house is opposite the pool creating a wrap-around hacienda design, with ground level housing living area and full kitchen, and second story housing the sleeping quarters.  Call Casa Chaca home—designed to impress, entertain and inspire.

One of the things that makes the Yucatan Peninsula so magical is its legends, passed down from generation to generation.  A prominent example is the Mayan legend of Chechen and Chacah. The story involves two brave warrior brothers named Kinich and Tizic.  The brothers were polar opposites: Kinich was a kind, generous and respected man, and Tizic was a cold-hearted man with a ferocious temper. One day they met a beautiful and pure-hearted young woman named Nicté Há..  The two brothers fell madly in love with this woman, and challenged eachother to a duel for her love. Unfortunately, the combat ended in tragedy, as both brothers died in each other’s arms.  Tizic was reborn as a Chechen tree and Kinich was reborn as a Chacah tree. For every Chechen tree, there is always a Chacah tree next to it.
